Something old, Something new . . .

Something old, something new,
Something borrowed, something blue,
And silver sixpence in your shoe.

A British custom for their bride to wear or carry something of those above. It gives good luck for the married couple.

Something Old -  it symbolizes continuity for the bride's family. Most of the time, bride's mother lend her accessories/jewelry or even their old handkerchief for her to use during the ceremony.

Something New - symbolizes a hope for a bright future for the couple. The usual new item for the bride is her gown.

Something Borrowed - a thing borrowed represents that her family and friends can be depended on times of needs. Usually, the bride borrowed something from a happy couple who wants to pass down their good fortune to the new couple.

Something Blue - faithfulness, loyalty and love. Most couples chose to have a blue garter to represent this one.

A Silver Sixpence in Bride's Shoe - a sixpence is a coin from Britain. This is to send a good luck for their finances. They say that the coin should be on her left shoe to maximize the fortune.
